How to....

Post a Picture on Posh Points When the Picture Loader Isn't Working

I know many have been asking "How did you load those pictures when Posh Picture Loader is not working?" Well since I can not walk you through this in person, I will show you how simple it is through here! This will probably take you longer to read than actually do in person!

Step One

The first thing you need to do is find an image sharing website... there are many of these out there but for this "how to" I will use http://www.picoodle.com/ . Now you don't really have to join but if you wish to keep track of your pictures then join. It's free!

Step Two

Now you need to load a picture on to http://www.picoodle.com/ . You can do this by easily clicking on :

A new screen will pop-up and you can then find the image on your computer. Click on "Open" and the little box will disappear.

Step Three

Now that you have told PicOodle where to find your picture it is time to resize it.

That is very easily done by clicking on:

Resize?

After clicking on this it will bring up a little box that looks like this:

Now for Posh I usually use the 320 x 240 size, but if more detail needs to be shown then I use the 640 x 480 size. Remember that GIF images can not be resized.

Step Four

Now you are ready upload your picture so click on:

Step Five

Now while PicOodle is uploading your image (about 20 seconds for my computer)you can go to posh points by opening a new web browser and start typing up your posting like you normally do. DO NOT CLOSE OUT THE WEB BROWSER FOR PICOODLE!

Now your post should look like this in your Posh web browser (well except it will look like what you are selling not this test browser)

Step Six

Now it is time to add the picture to your auction. This done by simply clicking on the words "HTML" at the bottom of your posting. Look for the red arrow below:

auction1.jpg

After you have clicked on the "HTML"  you should see now your text, mixed in with what may look like french, but it called HTML and should look something like this :

Step Seven

Now lets go back to your PicOodle web browser. The picture should have loaded to PicOodle by now and should look like something like this:

picoodle1.jpg

Step Eight

ok now find "Hotlinks Full sized image. Can click to view image if bandwidth exceeded." and look where it also says "Websites ". You want to highlight and copy (control + C at the same time) the text in the box... see pic below:

Step Nine

Now after you copy that, go back to your Posh web browser. At the bottom of all the words and symbols in the HTML area, Paste what you have copied there. (You can paste by pressing Control + V at the same time.) Your screen should now look like this:

picoodle3.jpg

You will see a lot of words and symbols pop into the box. Thats ok, thats your picture! You can easily check if your picture actually went onto the posting by clicking back onto the "Design" at the bottom by HTML. When you do that you will see something like this:

Step Ten- Final Step!

Now all you have to do is post your auction! Of course dont forget to add how many points you want for your item! Hope this helps anyone new to computers! Good Luck and Have a Good Day!
